Products & Operations

Precision in process.
Strength in performance.

High-yield thermo-mechanically treated rebars for structural reinforcement, engineered for ductility, weldability, and bond strength.

OUR STEEL

The steel behind the structure.

TMT processing combines hot rolling with controlled water quenching. It develops a tempered outer layer around a ductile core, bringing strength and bend performance together.

FACTORY & OPERATIONS

Inside RSRM

A short look inside RSRM’s steel manufacturing operations.

01

Selected & graded scrap

Raw materials are selected, graded and checked before entering the melting process.

02

Induction melting

Scrap and other steelmaking inputs are melted. Chemical analysis helps control the composition of the molten steel.

03

Ladle refining

Secondary refining brings chemistry and temperature together and removes unwanted impurities before casting.

04

Continuous billet casting

Molten steel is solidified into billets for the rolling stage.

05

Reheating & rolling

Billets are reheated and passed through rolling stands to form reinforcing bars.

06

Controlled cooling & inspection

Water quenching and cooling develop the TMT structure. Finished bars then undergo laboratory checks and final inspection.

Manufacturing stages adapted from RSRM’s company prospectus.

QUALITY ASSURANCE

Confidence, measured.

Chemistry, mechanical properties and bend performance each have a place in the laboratory process.

LABORATORY & TESTING

Chemical analysis

Spectrometric analysis checks steel chemistry at the heat stage.

LABORATORY & TESTING

Mechanical testing

Universal testing assesses yield strength, tensile strength and elongation.

LABORATORY & TESTING

Microstructure & bend performance

Microscopy and bend/rebend testing support assessment of the bar’s structure and performance.

LABORATORY & TESTING

Final inspection & documentation

Finished bars are inspected before dispatch. Historical BSTI and BUET records are available in the technical downloads below.
